About the event

We will host a panel discussion on how the college is commemorating its past, including a new public art memorial, "With These Hands" by Hank Willis Thomas.

The college is also renovating one of its oldest buildings, Oak Row, as a museum and it's conducting new research on Beaver Dam, the plantation house just outside of town.

Davidson Historical Society President, David Boraks, will moderate a panel with Davidson history professor Hilary Green and Martha Grimson, the college's historic sites and program manager.
